GARLIC MUSTARD

The hedgerows in the back lane through the allotments are full of these Garlic Mustard flowers.  I had to check my PlantNet app as I wasn't sure what they were.  Apparently they like shady places like woods and hedgerows and their nickname is  " Jack-by-the-hedge ".  The white flowers are small so they work for Tiny Tuesday.  Thanks to Sheol for hosting.

Had a lazy day until it was time to go to Slimming Club.  We had been forewarned that Ailsa wouldn't be taking the group as she is unwell and a last minute replacement consultant would take over tonight.  For some reason the Church Hall where we usually meet was locked up so we had to find another venue at very short notice ---- The Bay Horse pub came up trumps and let us use on of their upstairs rooms.  So we all made our way there.  It was rather chaotic to say the least as the new lady had to start from scratch and set everything up - the laptops, scales, paypoint etc.  Not many stayed after getting weighed and of course the replacement lady didn't know any of us.  But she was lovely - very enthusiastic and I enjoyed the chat. ( She's been a Consultant for 21 years so she should know what she's doing. )  And I lost 1½ pounds.

Weather today was rather dull and cold.  Back to wearing a warm coat and having the heating on.
