Reservoir Chickens

I'd ordered some fine fen topsoil to go in the raised beds as we had half filled them from the garden and were getting a little bored with digging! The soil arrived today and so this evening after dinner Poppy and I filled the beds and levelled them off.

The chickens were straight in there, rootling about looking for things to eat. Hopefully there will be plenty of things in there to eat in a few months time, but not for the chickens.
