Comings and Goings at the Bee Hotel

Tiny Tuesday: Comings and Goings at the Bee Hotel

Its been rather overcast and gloomy again here, not that warm but as the air is very still it hasn't really felt cold.  When I went out looking for a Tiny Tuesday shot this morning there were barely any invertebrates around, just a solitary carder bee doing the rounds in the garden.   Fortunately this afternoon we had a little hazy sunshine for a while and with that there was a fair bit more activity on the insect front.

I've ended up going for this shot of the Bee Hotel as it shows both a bee entering and one leaving which is a little bit of synchronicity.  I'm pretty sure that these are Osmia Bicornis - the red mason bee.

H0tamer (who organises the Tiny Tuesday challenge) is hosting Tiny Tuesday in May. Having just done the job for April I wanted to thank him publicly both for all his hard work which is very much appreciated.
