St Ives bluebell walk - with the Ladies.

When Wilsden Walker asked to take a picture of we ladies M, a man, stood back but we said no join us. Not sure why he is the only man (plus one occasional other) but that how it is.  You may see that shot later on her blip. Here

I was picked up by Wilsden Walker at 7.00am to go to the lay by below the far car park in the St Ives Estate, to do a walk that would take in the best of the bluebells blooming right now instead of our usual circuit.
There are lots and all looking lovely. If you drive down the ‘twines’ into Bingley you will see lots of them in the roadside woods.

A lovely morning and good company after a few weeks away.
I declined my lift back and walked with two others back to the village along the low woodland path. Here I took the blip which combines bluebells, some pheasants eye narcissus on both sides of the path and the Belties in the fields of Low Park. Walking through is to be avoided at the minute as they have young as you can see and they can be a bit feisty.

The bluebells across the path are in the extra together with some other highlights from the walk.

On the way home I went to vote ( Local elections) and then home to  FaceTime with Grace over breakfast. Eda had said she wanted to go up ‘their’ hill - Little Solsbury Hill - just above their house with extensive views over Bath.

After my shower I went to fill up with petrol. The first time since the price rises. £63 for a tank full that would have been £40+ before.

The weather is warm and sunny but we had a sudden shower in the middle of the day which meant we had to rush out and bring the washing in. Heading out this evening to Keighley Playhouse to see our neighbour in ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles.’ A spoof comedy on the original I believe.

The extra extra are the pictures Grace sent me of the girls in the lush dandelions and buttercups flowering in the meadows just below the summit of Solsbury Hill.

Thanks S for the lift this morning.
