Gently down the stream

Trees and sunshine

As the sun was shining, I went for a quick walk in the park at lunchtime. The line of trees in the background by the river are (on the right) willow with their leaves just coming out sort of gold and (left) white poplars. But the main trees here are hornbeam. They have wonderful upswept branches that are so regular from a distance they look like toy trees. I've tried to blip them before - you know how it is. But today I thought now or never, their buds are about to break and then their bare shapes will be lost till the end of the year.

Thank you everyone for your so kind messages. Yes, I'm pretty well back to what passes for normal today and your kindness is hugely appreciated xx
