Life in Sunny Dubai

Blue sky in May

We have had a couple of clear days, complete with blue skies. I decided to drive G to school and took the DSLR with me. It really was the day to take G to The Frame, but that will have to be another day.

We were invited to supper today by Jeff & Margaret to a restaurant of our choice, so we chose The Square in Wafi. Being so close to the church compound, we all got there on time for the meeting, which celebrated Mum's - for the Mother's Day that was marked by the rest of the world last Sunday. (It gets complicated having a mid-week meeting). All the ladies got a wee "Take a break" bag, which contained a mini chair, two Kit Kats and a teabag. We also got a potted flower plant!

G gave Abhishek a quick recorder lesson after the service. He's very keen to learn an instrument.

My blip and extra are both taken near Kite Beach. The breeze was pleasant enough to have stayed outside (in the shade), but I opted to sit it out at The Mall, where I enjoyed a Costa Belgian Chocolate Frostino. Our friends John and Shaji left Dubai for good today after being in the country for forty years. :(
