The honeybells are in flower!

Another sunny day in which even more of the hardy geraniums came into flower and so did the honey bells, so beloved of the bees.  It was rather breezy so shots were a bit hit and miss but this is probably the best of the bunch.  A little internet research tells me that this little visitor is a male red-tailed bumblebee.
In other news:  this evening Peggy was given the first of her supposedly calming Gabapentin tablets in readiness for her second visit to the vets for a further round of blood tests. A tablet this evening and tomorrow morning hopefully calm her enough for her to have sedation administered to take blood.  Her last round of tests showed that there are no thyroid problems, so the other possibility is diabetes, for which the treatment is rather more stressful.
