The orchids & the Hares

Anne  came over to inspect my garden today - she is a big fan of the natural look thankfully and knows a lot about plants. We meandered around the garden then carried on to give her two lurchers, Flynn and Rufus, a walk. We wandered out to the Air India memorial and then on to the headland before returning to the Heron Gallery for some hearty lentil and chickpea soup. The gardens at the Heron are looking fabulous especially their wildflower meadow which had the largest orchids I have ever seen.  They looked like gigantic ice creams amongst the daisies and other blooms. I think these are spotted orchids, or possibly marsh orchids,  but am happy to be corrected. They look good with the hares don' t they.

I am saying nothing about the events in Texas for where are the adequate words.
