An ordinary life....

All because the lady loves....

Milk Tray :-))

Actually I don't but the Tommy the roofer sent me this shot of one of his men today, he did remind me slightly of the Milk Tray Man :-))  Maybe I need to get out more!   lol

The roof is getting there.  The parts that have been done look amazing.

We had a slight hiccup with the velux that's been replaced above the upstairs landing.  The new window is slightly bigger as they no longer make the previous size, so they've had to cut into the plasterboard.  There was a very loud crash, which sounded as though someone had come through the roof!  Thankfully when we checked that wasn't the case, but a chunk of loose plaster from the ceiling had fallen and landed on the hall floor.

David rushed out to alert Tommy who came in to survey the damage and he was very apologetic about the mess.  We weren't particularly worried about the mess, more concerned that it could have hit someone.  The team and Alan are passing that part of the hall regularly and Lola likes to lie on that spot!  He assured us he will have it dealt with and fixed on the inside.

After lunch I spent a pleasant afternoon in the kitchen cooking for the freezer.  Chilli and Ragu, both beef and veggie versions.  I had planned to do some baking too but time ran away with me.  Perhaps tomorrow :-)
