Two fit blokes

Mr hazelh and Nick ran the Cirencester parkrun this morning. Mr hazelh's official race time was 21'50", and Nick's 28'48". Nick has only recently taken up running so this is a good time for him. He is now a fit bloke, rather than just a bloke (as noted in my blip of 16th September 2012).

After the run, Nick and his wife Sharon (a friend of mine from postgrad days) came back with us to Jackie and Richard's house for brunch. They both know Jackie well because we all lived and socialised together in Birmingham in the late 1980s.

Then Nick and Sharon scooped us (and our luggage) up to travel by car to the last destination of our wee holiday. We're staying at their house in Pershore until Monday morning.

This afternoon we walked around Worcester and along a section of the River Severn, stopping for tea and cake in a café beside the Museum of Royal Worcester.

Tonight we will enjoy drinks in the garden, the meal that I can smell cooking in the kitchen as I type, good conversation - and possibly a game of Catan!

Exercise today: walking.
