Columbine

Sadly, whenever I talk about our columbine plant I associate it with the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School. Because the school is located in Colorado it was named after the State flower - the Columbine • Columbine is a perennial wildflower and is believed to symbolize endurance, wisdom and peace • The red variety is preferred by hummingbirds and nocturnal moths feed on its nectar. Imagine witnessing that :) • A mostly overcast day with intermittent sunshine. It’s quite steamy because of the humidity. Thunderstorms are expected later this afternoon and evening. It could be the first test for the new plantings. Hope they make their Mamas proud • MrsP and I are Zooming with friends at 4:30pm. One friend from TX is visiting another in CT.
