Rocking Chair

We found this rocking chair buried under a pile of rubbish when we cleared the in-law’s house a few years back. It was quite shabby and there was a piece of plywood screwed down where the seat should be. It cleaned up very nicely and we had the seat professionally refurbished back to how it would have been originally. Sadly, there just isn’t room for it at home, so it lives in our Chester flat, which is where we are for the next couple of days. The cushion is one we saw in M&S a few Christmases back and just couldn’t resist it’s cuteness!
The day started well with a trip to the gym followed by a bacon bun for breakfast. But the trip down south was quite tedious with long queues over the last twenty miles of motorway. Apart from a bit of food shopping, we’ve not really done anything as it’s been cold and wet outside. It’s more like autumn at the moment - hard to believe it will be June in a couple of days!
So, a quiet night in tonight and hoping for better weather tomorrow. I’d like to go for a run if possible and I need to visit mother at some point. We are also hoping to get to the cinema to see the new Top Gun film. The rest of the day will be very weather dependent, but I’d like to think we can at least get out for a walk at some point.
