Hands on

Half-term... so Ruth and I took Luca and Eben to the local leisure centre this morning, for a swim (or, in Luca's case, an extremely cautious paddle). The leisure pool has two slides, a pirate ship and a wave machine: plenty to keep us all happy. It wasn't quite as warm as I'd have liked, but apart from that - lovely.
Then we came back for lunch with Richard, and a play with the secondhand marble run I bought recently on eBay. This is a wonderful piece of kit, made by Haba - a W German firm, I think. Their stuff is expensive to buy new, but as it's well made, there are good secondhand options around.
This hasty iPhone photo catches the moment just before Luca decided to "blow your house down", prompting fury from Eben. Fortunately it was easily rebuilt, and harmony was eventually restored. Luca doesn't quite get, yet, why demolition isn't always a hilarious bit of fun for everyone.
