Cottage Rock Garden....

...With Water Feature....

...heh heh...It was the best I could do for a blip today!  We don't really have "gardens" here.. just the remnants of gardening attempts from decades ago..We rely on the wild flowers and hardy, determined lilies, phlox and the occasional narcissus that insist on returning every year to add a touch of colour to the place..and we do welcome them as they do not ask much from us...They just pop up and survive on whatever Mother Nature has to offer in the way of sun and rain.. Definitely low maintenance. We love low maintenance...

My daughter is the only one in the family with a green thumb and we have her to thank for the colourful pots of flowers and herbs that magically appear on the deck and dock every spring. So, we do have some cultivated flowers around..just no gardens overflowing with blippable blooms!

Today was cold and windy - a day spent throwing logs on the fire, reading, and watching The French Open ( Roland-Garros) and the Party at the Palace! No swimming, no boating, no lounging upon the dock; it was just too cold.

This is a very small island, and one cannot roam far in search of photo-ops, so with no outdoor activity, no sunrise or sunset to speak of, and no visiting wildlife except for one lone duck too fast for my camera, what does one blip? Whatever one can find.... and we do have lots of rocks.. even some with green things growing on them...hence, today's blip.
