Roadtrain

Coober Pedy to Marla today, approx 250km. There was a lot of water lying around which is strange for a desert. We have not seen a River since Wilcannia 11 days ago.

This is a back blip as there was no internet or phone connection. We passed a roadhouse and some cattle yards. Not a lot to blip if you’re driving. This Roadtrain had 62 tyres not including the ones on the cargo.

Marla is a tiny village with a huge roadhouse/ post office/ bank/ caravan park/ service station and store ( all in one). The caravan park was ‘park where you like’ and it was luck of the draw if you got water and power.

The further outback you go the friendlier the people are.

I’m surprised it isn’t flat out here, gentle rolling hills and an excellent road.
