Bloodline

I found a blood-vein moth fluttering deep in the long grass this morning. It's only the second time that I've seen one of these. It gets its name from the red or rusty line that runs continuously across its wings. The edges of the wings are tinged with pink. A coincidence that I took MrQ for a blood-test this morning.

I shot the black and yellow longhorn beetle on rough chervil with a buttercup background this afternoon.
