Wet and windy

We had strong winds and rain all morning, then sunshine most of the afternoon before the rain started again early evening. There is a severe thunderstorm watch overnight until 6am Monday morning.  The South Island has snow and snow is expected to hit the middle of the North Island overnight. Winter has definitely arrived.

As we were out picking up the open home signs this afternoon, I stopped on Dominion Road to take a blip of a mural that we’ve driven past many times over the past few weeks. It’s a rather nice piece of street art.

There are 4,402 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 5,919 compared to 6,779 last Sunday. The number of people in hospital is 354, including 8 in ICU. Another 9 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,320 and the seven-day rolling average to 13.
