The Gerry Oak

Walked from our place (see dock across) around the bay to the neighbors to see the Gerry Oak that sadly blew down in the storm we missed several weeks ago.  It’s less than 2 miles from us to him ( and back). but lots of uneven ups and downs on an interesting trail..         It was a beautiful tree with a swing that would hide and shade a person.  The tree in the center lost it’s top which landed on and through their deck.  What he doesn’t need is more firewood.   Tide too low to launch my boat but we’ll have to seriously look at it tomorrow, late, when we’re fresh.     Had a good chat with this neighbor....long history.   (another in Extra....he had to haul all that wood and more up from the shore and buck it.)
