Life in Sunny Dubai

By GadgetKid

Now I've seen everything!

We joined Diane for a walk again today picking Dubai Mall as the venue as there is plenty to see and explore. It also has a supermarket for some "essentials" shopping at the end.

We went in through the Galeries Lafayette entrance, which was a mistake. We hadn't gone very far when we saw some very unusual wrist watches made by the British designer Olivia Burton. The nature elements on the watch faces had us all taking a closer look. There were flowers and bees, galaxies and moths! The salesman (Mr Lucky, yes!!) said there was a range of jewellery by the same designer on display in their branch in the Zabeel extension, so we walked over to that. It was just what we needed to get more steps in.

We saw loads of gorgeous watches and even tried some on for fun. What really caught my eye, though, were the very unusual tables and chairs of this soon-to-open restaurant. The waitress informed us that grand opening was at 1 PM. We were a two hours too early. I'm not sure the cuisine goes with the decor, and they would do better by being in the main mall, but I can see this going down well with the young guys here!

Home for the rest of the day to work, and chill, and relax etc. etc. etc. It is the weekend!
