Our Pretty Bow Bells

First of all may I just say...WOW! And thank you for the wonderful reception you gave our little Anna's Hummingbird. She is so happy that seven eight nine! (9!) of you gave her one of your hearts. She and I are gobsmacked. REALLY, gobsmacked now. Wow. Thank you all...

Bow bell rhododendrons are very nice blooming shrubs and I just adore ours. This year it is coming into gorgeous pink blooms and I am very happy about that. Last year it was a dismal showing. But then we had a few springs that were pretty dismal, so I guess it just wasn't up to showing off in the cold spring that we had last year. It is making up for it now.

The sky is so blue and there isn't one cloud to be seen! That's courtesy of the east wind that blows it all out to sea. Down in southern California when the hot wind from the desert blows into town, everybody knows it's the Santa Ana winds that is doing it. Those winds have a distinct name that everyone is familiar with. Up here, it's just been known as the east wind. So, somebody...weather people I guess, tried to give our winds a name. So, officially, these are the Chinook winds. Nobody, except maybe the weather folks on TV say that.... It's still the east wind. At least I've never heard one person say, "Yep, here come the Chinook winds.." Never, ever.

Anyway....Blip is done and on to other stuff. Hope all is well with everyone. See ya later.
