The second half of life..

Silvereye & orange

Brrrr........frosty and cold this morning........no wonder the silvereyes went crazy when I put their breakfast out!  How appropriate that today is the shortest day/longest night.  I had to wait until mid morning to try out the remote shooting again - getting the hang of things  a bit better now. Just as I was about to set up, J appeared and not 10 seconds after J appeared, Kev returned :D  He looks like a very chubby boy when he fluffs himself up but I guess that's his way of keeping the cold out.  His icy, eye-less stare down at me (extra) just had to be posted here.  For those curious about Kev, he's probably about the size of a chicken with only a tad more ability to fly. His gallumpiness as he maneuvers his way to land in a tree (and then navigate his way along branches and through foliage) is a lot of what makes him such an adorable character.

On the bright side - the sun will be heading back our way starting tomorrow!  Enjoy the rest of the time you have it up there in the northern hemisphere :D
