Graduation

Early start to make sure Miss PHL was up and about and ready to head to her friend’s flat before they headed to the P&J live to register for their graduation ceremony. She and her friends looked suitably glamorous and quietly pleased as behaving the opportunity to graduate.

Mr PHL, M&A and I had some breakfast before we got changed and headed out to the ceremony. M&A went shopping as the graduates were only allowed 2 tickets. It was a pity there wasn’t the opportunity to ask for extra as the venue wasn’t even half full. A bit of waiting around and things got started. There were around 300 graduates from a variety of disciplines as our ceremony was the 4th of 5 taking place over the weekend.

A drinks reception was followed by a trip to King’s college in Old Aberdeen for photographs where we got a little wet. Quick trip back to P&J live to drop off the robes and we headed for our celebration lunch at The Silver Darling, a lovely fish restaurant at the harbour mouth. Great views and wonderful food. A lovely lunch.

Dropped M&A back to their house just outside Dundee, took Miss PHL back to her flat and we were home just before 10. I was too tired to do more than unpack, put on a washing, post Saturday’s blip and head to bed. Hence yet another backblip.
