Street View - Shadow and Light

After being told we should shelter in place following the mass shooting at Highland Park's holiday parade (ten miles up the road), we headed back from Glenview's cancelled parade and festivities to wait and see. After learning the suspected shooter had been captured, I ventured out with my camera to try to get rid of the angry feelings stuck in my gut.

It helped a bit but not much.

As he skated by the now empty village green, gazebo and the parking lot that would have been the parade's staging area, this young man flashed me a peace sign, shook his head and went on his way.

... when will the madness end.
