YEW TREE BARN

A fairly quiet but pleasant day today.  Took G into town so he could visit Daisy Roots, our secondhand book shop, had a little walk around, manaaged to get some birthday presents for Mum's birthday early August.

Then we popped up to Harry's Bar at Yew Tree Barn in Low Newton.  I haven't been for such a long time and saw the change to the cafe from last time.  They've just expanded out the back a little and lost the cosy corner I used to like to sit in so you can see the chef working.  Food is just as good as always but I'd forgotten that their portions were quite large!!

Ww just enjoyed sitting in there and soaking up the peace and quiet and the atmosphere.  We then had a wonder around the furniture an antiques/ collectables.  Very slightly disappointed that their card selection isn't as good as it was, nor their gifts, although there are still some lovely ones there and it is a great place to browse and you never know what you might find.

Then just came home.
