THE DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS

A quiet day today, much needed for some reflection.  Hubby has an AAA (Abdominal Aortic Aneurism), which he has had for a few years now and ithas remained pretty stagnant,  However a couple of years ago it started to grow so he has to go for a scan every 3 or 6 months.  This week it has now grown from small to medium.  This is not great.  Can't really do anything until it gets large and then it's a case of scary surgery.  It has got me a bit down this week, hence the delay in commenting on your blips.  I have now caught up though.

I'm not putting this on any other social media as it is just for us but I wanted to record it on here as I know this is the best of all the sites there is.

Trying to get information about what it all means but there's nothing forthcoming.  The Consultant just keeps sending letters about it's growth.  Even our GP couldn't give an answer as to any support or any other info, it's just a case of relying on the scan leaflet info and what we can find on Google.  I won't delve too much on Google as there is too much false info on there I just rely on the NHS one and hope that it is up-to-date.

Anyway trying to lighten my mood a little this photo is of the mange tout growing in the garden but it reminded me of The Day of the Triffids, hence the title.

Do take care everyone, stay safe and I will see you tomorrow.
