Snail

I managed to snap this snail using the ‘macro’ function of my 24-105mm zoom lens (at 105mm). It’s much better than my bigger zoom lens as the closest focus distance is a more manageable 0.45m (~1.5ft). I quite like the result it gave - of course the fast shutter speed has helped to ‘freeze’ the action :-))

Seems odd to see this slimy creature crossing a tarmac path in blazing sunshine! Looks like the shell has taken a bit of battering (on the right, towards the back. Maybe it was escaping from a predator!
