Life in Sunny Dubai

Board Games

Today is the start of a long weekend - a public holiday for Eid Al Adha. The sky was overcast, so G reckoned it was a good day to drive down to Abu Dhabi for the Board Games Day that Jeff and Margaret organised. The car a/c doesn't work well, so I try to avoid a long drive, especially at the hottest time of the day, but today was PERFECT!

There weren't too many cars on the road, the dashboard's temperature said 36degC, and we had a few drops of rain. There were so many raindrops, the auto-windscreen wipers came on, and the temperature dropped to 32! I've never seen that in July!

We had a happy day with lunch and dessert! It was nice to play the Special Edition EXPO Monopoly again. I did much better this time. It was a shame we had to stop the game as it was getting late.

The ride home was not as eventful. We popped into Wafi before finally settling in and finishing watching Series 6 of Downton Abbey.
