My last view of Derby this morning before I boarded the first of three trains to Penrith. My journey was straightforward but the other four all experienced train cancellations and subsequent disruption. 

I got the bus to Patterdale and was pleasantly surprised when Jean and Nuala got on it at Aira Force. We got off at the Patterdale Hotel and ordered pints of beer and water! 

Back to the B&B and a massive shepherd's pie followed by strawberries and cream, yummy. We have a long walk tomorrow apparently.
