Marathon

Another two graduations today. Clapping in the morning (good chat afterwards with DA who was presiding) and capping in the afternoon.
Interesting, in the few seconds it takes for the graduands to walk up the ramp, to get a glimpse of all the very different personalities behind each one. It’s surprising how much you can tell from such a short time. Of course the shoes and outfits are also noticeable, especially when some seem to have borrowed shoes several sizes too big and with far too high a heel…I am always amazed that we don’t have more (any) accidents!
The afternoon ceremony was the first I’ve ever been in that lasted 2 hours….lots of students and 3 honorary graduates, all who responded with a speech. This was the Director General of the WHO (slight cheat as taken from the video, but my others didn’t come out well today).
All seemed to go well though but we needed our macarons and eclairs afterwards at the reception (and I could see the glasses of fizz disappearing fast too!)
Home whacked out, and just had to collapse a bit so was lovely that A had made pasta and a big veggie lasagne which was delicious. I stayed on the sofa all evening. Just as well there are only 2 more to do.
