Day 6 Tour of the Lakes

The YHA at Wasdale was our destination today. Two set off up Red Pike, but the rest, including me, walked back along Buttermere, up Scarth Gap and then down to Black Sail YHA where we had lunch. Elizabeth swam in the pool below the hostel, Jean and I just paddled over our knees.

Once dry we continued up, over and down Black Sail Pass, arriving at the Wasdale Head Hotel for a beer before catching the mini bus to Nether Wasdale. The driver called our stop, but we still had a mile to walk along the lake before arriving at the hostel.

A much better day from a personal point of view, obviously a good sleep makes all the difference. It's not easy to have five adults together in a room, three of whom are used to living on their own. I'm not sure what I'm doing about Austria yet....
