Birthday Bouquet

It was my birthday last Friday but today was the first opportunity I had to photograph my bouquet, that Len bought for me.

It was made by Abi, the Flower Lady in Shepshed. I like her selection of flowers and told her I would like peonies.

After setting up the tripod and camera, I opened the curtains a smidgeon to take the photo, then quickly closed the curtains again.

Basil has had the cold tea towel treatment again today which he tolerated for three hours. I wrapped a wet tea towel round my neck last night and slept quite well, so I shall be doing that again.

Len's thermometer measured 43.8 C outside. Of course, the Met Office says it's a bit 'cooler.'
