The Master of this Garden

Firstly, thank you so much for the wondrous comments yesterday and for popping by. I love my new green camera icon.

I performed some extensive deadline avoidance today by cleaning up the garden in the sunshine, cutting back the trees, the ivy and the hedge, and raking out the moss from the lawn. Impressive. I still have that deadline to meet, though.

Omar, the guinea-pig trio and Whisky kept me company, and many cats dropped by. Whisky adopted this pose every time. I think you'll agree that it's most fierce (not).

In the evening, I popped down to the Future of FEAST meeting to add my tuppence on how FEAST could evolve in the future. FEAST is powered by volunteers, most of whom live in the local area. Future plans are mainly based around the question: What do local people want and need and how can FEAST help to make our area an even better place to live? Community spirit and community spaces came out top, along with supporting the high street and encouraging better amenities. FEAST is already delivering on these, so it's a matter of keeping going, bringing a bit more sparkle and optimism to SE27, and trying to muster funding wherever we can without selling our souls. Hooray for FEAST!
