FEELING SLUGGISH ON SILLY SATURDAY

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We all felt a little sluggish when we woke up this morning, and found it hard to get going, so I suggested that we all did some exercises to liven us up a bit, which didn’t go down that well with everyone.

I knew that Mr. HCB had been doing exercises for his back, down on the floor, so thought that would be an ideal place for us to meet.  It took a while to get us all together and we decided not to have our showers when we got up, but to wait until we had finished the exercises, as we would probably be feeling quite hot and bothered, especially if we had done the exercises properly.

Mr. & Mrs. HCB’s lovely neighbour, Lynn, lent Mr. HCB a special brace that you put on your back called a “Back Soother” but we aren’t quite sure he has got the hang of it yet - she said you need to put your legs through this and that, but he got in quite a muddle doing it, with the result that Mrs. HCB had to help him untangle himself!  If you could have seen them, you would have giggled - we did and we are sure it would have made dear Admirer laugh.

You can see that some of us are putting more effort in than others - for instance, some of us are on our fronts doing press-ups but some are just lying back and thinking they can get away with not doing anything.  Donald, I noticed, has shut his eyes and might even be asleep - that is definitely not allowed and if he wants to get rid of that “middle-aged spread” then he will have to step up and do more exercises - because that’s the way it works!

We hope that by doing all these exercises on the sheet that Mr. HCB got from his lovely physiotherapist, Tracy, we will be fit enough to run around Mrs. HCB’s field and perhaps even climb some trees, but time will tell.

It’s no good just doing exercises once - you have to keep on doing them day after day and then, hopefully we will all be “fit as fiddles” and we definitely need to remember "No Pain, No Gain"!

Thankfully, it is much cooler now than it was at the beginning of the week, but we are going to take it slow and steady so that eventually we will be fit and healthy and ready for more adventures outdoors.

Have a great weekend and stay cool!

Love from

P.S.  The thumbnail shows the name "Maureen" but I can assure you that she was NOT doing press-ups - it was me, JH Ted xx
