Pentland Aromatics at Biggar show

This morning we returned to Biggar for the second weekend in a row, this time to visit the annual agricultural show, and stay overnight at Bella and David's house with Bella's sister Lucy.

There was plenty to see at the show including lots of animals (alpacas, horses, dogs, sheep, cattle), highland dancing, tractors, fun fair rides, an 'industrial' tent of competition entries, and a craft fair. We tracked down nadinepierce and SparklyConverse doing good business at the Pentland Aromatics stand at the latter (blipped).

I was very taken by a display of Persian rugs, especially a beautiful blue one which would look fabulous in our study (extra). We were so tempted to buy it there and then, but could not be certain that it will fit the room. It's probably too big. We agreed with the salesman that we will measure the study as soon as we return home and let him know the dimensions. If the rug fits, we will buy it.

Back at Bella and David's house after the show, we had tea and cake, then played three games of Catan with a break for a delicious lamb curry for dinner. It's wonderful to be here (again).

Exercise today: none.
