Happy birthday Doreen

Full steam ahead this morning preparing for Doreen’s 97 birthday party. We transported all the food to to the care home where we occupied the Lodge outside in the garden for the afternoon.

Doreen had a wonderful surprise as her 91 year old cousin was brought to the party by her son. Very fortunately, her son was over from New Zealand for the first time since before the pandemic and was able to bring her from East Grinstead. Good to catch up with him too.

After the party ended there was only a little time left to scuttle to the Parish Council’s Public Meeting on Project A. Over 150 people attended and the council were left in no doubt in the strength of the opposition to the project.

Blip was down this morning for a server upgrade which meant I was not able to do my usual journal visit and the rest of the day was packed. Thank you to all of you who visited.

Tomorrow we’re going to London until Sunday to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.
