More Birds in Garden

More photos today of birds in the garden. I went into town this morning for daily provisions, but it felt so hot even then (2 consecutive days over 29C in this current heatwave so far) . Droughts have been declared in several parts of England including East Anglia and the Met Office says the risk of wild fires spreading this weekend will be ‘exceptional’. I'm waiting for my new fridge freezer to be delivered by John Lewis, my time slot is between 3 and 5 and it's now 4pm - can't wait. I was due to walk tomorrow morning with friends, but they rang earlier to move it back to the evening due to the heatwave, and I'll now be able to go to Tesco first thing to stock up.

Day 876 / Day 167 of no Legal Covid Requirements in England (for my record only)
There are no results from weekly ONS infection survey of private households this week, the pause in publication being due to the introduction of an online data collection method and postal returns for swabs and blood samples, the next publication will be on 19th Aug. Those whose immune systems do not respond well to vaccines, including those with blood cancer or who've had an organ transplant, will not be able to get the Evushield antibody protection injection despite it being used in many countries. The Govt wants evidence of longer protection against the variant circulating now, despite clinical trials showing a 77% reduction in the risk of developing Covid symptoms for at least 6 months after a single dose.
