Family

We had a lovely full day today. Morning with mum in Hoddesdon, leaving after coffee with our car jam packed. Not sure where Mollie and Josh's suitcases are going to go! Jon drove (as always) heading to Windsor where we spent the afternoon. A brief heavy downpour on the M25 but the rest of the day it was fine. We found a nice place to eat in the old station, just by the castle, which dominates the whole area. Then wandered down and around to the long 3 mile walk which runs up to the castle. We did lots of steps, ending with a cup of tea by the river.

Then we drove to Woking where we had a lovely evening with my Howard family cousins, and Aunty Rhonda, my dad's sister, who I haven't seen since dad's funeral. Rhonda celebrated her 90th birthday in February, and is currently recovering back home after a fall that left her very bruised, and resulted in a week in hospital. Thankfully my cousins live close by.

3 plus hours flew by. We chatted non stop. It was so good to catch up, hear their news, and how everyone is coping with everything life throws at them.

Left Woking at 10 and are now at Gatwick arrivals. Thank you to Darryl for the tip about the long stay car park. We parked then got on a bus. Hoping to see two smiling, tired faces very soon.....then just the drive back home to Norfolk and our mini break is over!!
