2802. Fabulous Meet Up!

We are staying in Aberdeen for one night and got the chance to catch up with our friends, Norma and Tony, who were through in Aberdeen attending a Consultant appointment at the hospital for Tony.

Norma was so excited to tell us her fantastic news….in fact three things!

Firstly, Tony is officially in remission. I had to pinch myself to check that this wasn’t a dream…but it’s a dream come true for them as we thought we’d lost him a few months ago…but he doggedly carried on despite the challenges of chemo and now he’s been told he is now in remission.

Secondly, they have sold their house after it was only on the market for a few days, although it’s a fabulous house, it is in the back of beyond and has the trickiest of gardens!

Thirdly, they have bought a bungalow not too far from the hospital so that attending with Tony doesn’t result in him being unable to do anything else for days in order to recover from the travelling to and from his weekly appointments.

I am just so happy for them on all three counts….but particularly for the wonderful news about Tony’s health.

We are so pleased for them and what a wonderful surprise!
