An ordinary life....

Ben Lawers and Loch Tay...

Oh it's good to be back at one of my happy places :-))

I don't quite know what has happened to us over the past few months but for the first time in our married life, we've started being on time for things!

I have no idea why we always end up running late but it annoys us both intensely.  Holidays were the worst.  In the days of travelling to France we were known for leaving at least two hours later than planned, which made for an interesting journey to catch the ferry!

Anyway, over the last few months we have started being on time for things and today was the same.  We planned to head out for lunch at 1pm and we did!  This is a big thing! :-))

Delicious Caesar salad with Piri Piri chips at the golf club before we packed the last of the stuff in the car (fridge food) and headed off to Loch Tay.

As we came down the hill into Kenmore the sun was sending beautiful rays through the clouds and the water was sparkling.  What a welcome.  I didn't quite manage to capture that moment but as we drove over the bridge out of Kenmore it still looked very special.  The sight of Ben Lawers high above the Loch always makes me quite emotional.

A short drive along the north side of the loch and we were at the cottage.  It's so lovely. The double doors open on to a raised patio over-looking a pond with a little wooden bridge to a grassy area and views down to Loch Tay.  I think there's a woodland walk to the shore of the loch but I won’t be attempting that.  I'm sure David will at some point.

Now settled in.  The unpacking is done, we snoozed through tea time so had a cuppa and a bagel for supper.  Watching Bridesmaids and looking forward to seeing what the coming week brings :-))
