Driving through France

We arrived in the dark at our camping site so didn’t see much last night, but today we woke up in a basic but quite pleasant forested area called La Ferté Sant Aubin. After a quick coffee in The Knight, we drove to the village where we picked up a “pain au raisin” and “almande croissant” from one of the patisseries for breakfast. We then strolled down the main street to this Café and ordered a café au lait to have with our breakfast pastries.
We drove through lots of rain and even hail to get to our next destination - Viaduc de Millau. This is the site of the tallest bridge in the world, which has cable stays like the Golden Gate Bridge.

The new campsite offered us a free glass of a local Rosé wine to welcome us! We set up camp in between showers and David cooked us a lovely grass/fed steak with vegetables. This is another very muddy campsite, but not surprised with all the rain we’ve driven through today!
