Little Bumps, Big Bumps

Another bike ride to another beach on a beautiful day, wrongly predicted to be a washout. Tide on the fall, rocks exposed, plenty of limpets to be found. I looked for little groups and placed them in the foreground as an anchor for the image.

In this version I was struck by how the shapes of the limpets related to those of the rock and distant headland. I wanted the tiny limpets to appear large and the far off land small, but my lens limited my ability to get closer and increase the distortion further. I wished for a wider lens.

Extra: Churns. You don't see those often these days.
