Homeward Bound

MV Golden Mariana leaving Pierowall for Papay. On board will be the young people who come over to Westray for secondary school, prior to finishing their high school education in Kirkwall. This morning they'd have had an unpleasant crossing in lashing rain and gusty wind but things have quietened down a bit since then and the sun has put in an appearance.

We have had a day around the village. I had a great chat to a woman in the local archaeological group. In the course of conversation it turned out that we had both worked for the OU. As soon as anyone mentions Milton Keynes it's worth asking. A change of fortune for her to move from MK to Westray. Popped into a couple of shops and did more beachcombing. Now watching the tide race up the beach.

Planning an evening walk as the sun is forecast to keep shining. And in home related news our booster appointments have arrived. Not till the end of October but good to have them scheduled.
