Last visit to Norwich

An early start today, to get the car into the Kia garage in Norwich for its 3 year service and MOT.

Once we'd dropped it off, we walked along the river and found a cafe for brunch.  Superb poached egg on smashed avo.  Sitting outside a cafe that was appropriately called the Last Cafe - though it is a different use of the word, referring, as it does, to the fact that the cafe is in what used to be a shoe manufacturing facility.

Shortly after this photo was taken the sun came out so warmly that I had to strip off my jumper.  And then, just as we had finished eating, it clouded over and started to spit with rain.  And we spent the rest of the walk along the riverside dodging the intermittent heavy showers by using some of the many pubs as umbrellas.

After picking up the car we went back to the Gridserve forecourt, topped up the battery and then drove back to our lodgings through some pretty rubbish weather - a 300 mile round trip was probably worth it to save the cost of the 3 year service.  Hope the rain holds off tomorrow whilst we are playing Tetris with boxes in the car.
