Life's Little Moments

Rim Lit Jax

It had to be Jax today.  To be fair, I really didn't do much photography today, not for lack of trying but more for lack of inspiration.  As usual, Jax was on the deck keeping an eye on my while I pottered around the patio and garden.  At one point, I looked up and saw him watching me through the railings on the deck.  Click, click.  In spite of being backlit and burned out in spots, I like the image.  I think he has the most soulful eyes.  They hide a ridiculously playful personality.

We took a trip to the pet store this morning which Jax thoroughly enjoyed.  He always wants to walk the dog and cat food aisles in hopes that some stray kibbles might have leaked out of a bag.  Big score today as he was able to snarf up several good sized mouths of kibbles in one aisle.  As usual, the fish section creeped him out a bit and we never go near the cat window anymore because... well, suffice to say that some of the cats acted very aggressive through the glass once which resulted in hackles, growls and a tucked tail.  We avoid that area now.  He loves the check out because the cashiers always ask if they can give him a treat and he always says yes, with his best manners.

On the way home, we came across a doe and her three almost-adult fawns on the Lane.  Jax was in full growl and hackle mode from the safety of the back seat of the car.  Later when we took a walk, he gave some squirrels the stink-eye.  It's good to be Jax.  He is sound asleep on the sofa at the moment, no doubt resting up for a round of crazy tonight.

I think dark with some sort of nuts today.
