"Eagerly Anticipated"

Anticipation is about as far as it goes! This is Weston-super-Mare's tourist attraction for the summer season that's just about over. Schools broke up. Schools went back. Still nothing to see but, after a while, the empty platform.

Having missed the summer, the "See Monster" as it advertises itself was finally due to open for August Bank Holiday, according to local newspapers. Well, that didn't happen. Here we are halfway through September and there's some activity. Cranes are lowering potted trees on to the construction. There have apparently been "unforeseen delays" in creating the thing. But it's only tax-payers money wasted, so that's all right.

So, we're now back in Lincolnshire, and finding it's turned cooler in our absence. Partly that, and partly that it is two or three degrees cooler on this side of the country in any case. Had cuddles with LMB and her mum, so that's good. Back to unpacking and sorting our new house. Now, where were we up to ...?!!

PS This link includes a CGI of what the See Monster attraction is intended to look like!
