Gliding over open land

S and I enjoyed lunch at Riverhead Tavern today. Situated just up from one of the small rivers flowing into the Waitemata Harbour, at the very uppermost end of the Harbour. Left the rain in the Waitakere Range, and were kept warm by the sun.

On the last part of the trip back home, a Kahu glided across the road in front of us, before circling back. I was able to stop (in the foothills of the range) and as it circled around again got this photo.
