Traveling East

Today we left the Airbnb in Rangarping eystra and headed east towards Vic, if you’re following our journey. Gwen was up at the crack of dawn and out the door to a nearby waterfall (see her journal) while yours truly drank tea and packed for the next stop.

We visited a waterfall not far from the Airbnb (extra 4) and then went on to Caves Hella - a fascinating ancient place of historical significance: https://www.cavesofhella.is/the-heritage. Extras one and two. Read the story if you’re so inclined - it’s a fascinating one involving Vikings and Celts and more modern day farming practices.

Then we drove west to Vic where we went for a lovely walk on Black Sand Beach in the gorgeous afternoon sun. The cliffs are magnificent and covered with gorgeous green moss - main Blip.

Finally, a long drive up into the farmlands well to the east of Vic (much to our surprise) where we hope to see the northern lights tonight. The prospect is good! See the panorama from outside the bnb...amazing.
