Congratulations

An early phone call to help sort out where J, coiffeur, has to go. Also news that A has tested +be. What a shame. All the way from Toronto to see her friend get married and now she will miss it.

Spent the morning talking to J and D about now we are all going to Berwick for for lunch tomorrow. The bus was fully booked.

Getting ready for the wedding didn't take too long with the exception of getting fabric flower pinned on my top. Fiddly didn't cover it.

The wedding was at Mansfield Traquair. The traffic was as usual, awful. A did a drive by as we waited outside. The building is stunning, longest aisle in Edinburgh but the acoustics are challenging. Without a mike it was impossible to hear to the celebrant and later the band was very loud but unintelligible. There was also quite a lot of hanging around, queuing to get photos taken on entry and after the ceremony while the couple went up Calton Hill for more photos  The groom, M, is my friends, A and N's, younger son.

However, everyone looked stunning. The couple M and E, have been together for about 25 years but a long distance Edinburgh- Aberdeen relationship. They were always going to get married. It just took them a while to get their.

It was a pleasant evening though it took ages to serve the meal and the kids were pretty much past it by the time it arrived

I danced a lot but passed on the late evening stovies. We ended with 'Sunshine on Leith' (the groom's father is a Hibee) and Loch Lomond.

My taxi arrived slightly early so I left just before the midnight hour. Sair feet!
