There was just the morning to do something with, before the afternoon's drive home, and Fi and Dave had their eyes on Orange Slab (The Range, Gogarth).

Unfortunately it wasn't very easy to find, and when it eventually was with the help of two more members who turned up, it was deemed too dodgy because of the lack of an abseil spike, the ground not being good for gear placement. So.... we went back to Independence Slab.

I had no intention of climbing and just enjoyed the view and being by the sea. Dave didn't want to climb either, he was tired and had aggravated old injuries yesterday. So it was just Fi and Jason, shortly joined by another two club members.

Once they'd done a couple of routes we went back to the carpark, ate lunch and got on our way. I arrived back home in time for the 6 o'clock news....... :-(
