Oops!

It was into glorious sunshine under blue skies that we stepped out on our walk this afternoon.   Admittedly there were dark clouds well inland over the mountains but ... miles away.   After yesterdays wind driven soaking at the beach, we had decided to head for the riverbank walk a mile or so inland.  The sunshine persisted, the dogs ran and chased and for a while all was well with the world but as we turned to head back, the sky over the mountains darkened significantly.   To our right, blue skies, ahead sunshine and a clear view - extra pic - but to our left the approaching soaking was heralded by a fast growing rainbow - extra pic.   The rain caught us in earnest only a few hundred yards from the shelter of the trees, the home straight but still in bright sunshine, it was impossible to avoid another soaking.   A mile away, back in Tywyn, we drove home along a dry road!

After we'd dried off and I had showered mud from Meg's legs, C joined Katie, Jamie and I for tea .... bringing a sumptuous, home baked chocolate cake and a bottle of wine.   A happy evening ensued!    We were a long way from finishing the wine so I'll just have to cook again soon :-)

Final extra pic - a carrot I grew and that we ate, that has embraced my recent promotion of Hug Therapy!
